Keady started this game brightest as they raced into a 3-1 lead in Keady on Friday evening, points coming from Ryan McGale and Chris Courtney.  Clann Éireann soon got on course and drew level before taking the lead.  It was a battle for space and there were some wides before Keady drew level again.  Clann Éireann finished the half strong with two points to go in with a lead at halftime.

Clann Éireann put Keady under considerable pressure in the second and hit two wides before hitting two score to go four ahead.  Keady never gave up, however, and hit three points on the trot.  The first saw Ryan McGale hit an excellent long range effort; the second Shayne Mone pick out Ryan Comiskey with a superb pass, who duly converted.  The third was a fantastic point from Collie Comiskey which was well applauded by the crowd.

From here it was tit-for-tat as both teams gave very little away.  Clann Éireann pointed, Ryan McGale responded with a score.  Clann Éireann pointed again, Ryan McGale converted a free.  Clann Éireann converted a free, Shayne Mone hit a fantastic point.
Keady just couldn’t muster for the equalising score and so the game ended with the Lurgan visitors winners by a solitary point.
