Review of 2009
Ladies Seniors:
The Ladies’ senior team had a very successful year this year culminating in a Junior Championship Final appearance against a Division I side Killeavy. Despite going into the game as the underdogs the girls did not let the occasion faze them and were extremely unlucky to end up on the wrong side of a one-point defeat to an excellent Killeavy side. They started well in the league but defeats to Culloville, Cullyhanna and Tír na nÓg saw them finish mid-table. Keady Dwyers entered a ladies team in the All-Ireland Sevens Tournament in Naomh Mearnóg, Dublin, and enjoyed the experience.
The club were immensely proud of their ladies player Ciara Donnelly who achieved the accolade of Sportswoman of the Year with the Armagh Sports Forum. She has a string of footballing achievements including Club Senior and Minor Player of the Year, County Minor Player of the Year, Division 3 Ladies Player of the Year and an Ulster Minor Championship medal with Armagh.

Ladies U18s:
The girls struggled to field at minor level and pulled out of the league. They did, however, compete in the Minor Championship but were defeated in the first round by a strong Crossmaglen Rangers side.
Ladies U16s:
This year was the first year we have provided football for an Under 16 Ladies team and were pleased with the dedication shown by the girls in both trainings and matches. The girls competed well in all matches and have grown together as a team which is evident in the improvement gained over the few years they have played together. This team finished midway in the league, an achievement which they should be proud of and we look forward the same group of girls striving for more success in 2010.
Ladies U14s:
The Under 14 Ladies Team were under the Management of Kieran Keenan and Katrina Molloy. The girls really started to gel together as a team and have finished the season on quite a high beating Ballyhegan, St Enda’s (League & Championship), Clady and Pearse Og’s. We were proud to have two of our players (Aimee Molloy and Aine Keenan) on the Under 14 County panel and feel that they have benefited greatly from this and we hope they go from strength to strength as they will surely be a great asset to the Club in the not too distant future.
Ladies U8s and U10s:
This is a vital area of development for Keady Dwyers and Eamon McGuigan and Veronica Boylan have built up a fantastic young squad. From humble beginnings, there are now over thirty girls training every Saturday morning. The club is looking forward to great things from this group of dedicated and enthusiastic young girls.
