Keady Dwyers B team had a narrow one point victory over Middletown in the All-County B League in the sweltering heat on Sunday evening.
Keady started brightest and went three points up but Middletown found their way back and soon became level.  Keady seemed to always notch it up a gear with Mark Hughes and Conor Breen in fine form and Charlie Connolly leading the way in midfield.  Keady got goals at vital times with Mark Hughes, Conor Breen and Paul Rice all finding the net in the first half.
The second half saw Middletown come back strong at Keady and exceptional defending from Aidan Gilmartin, Liam McKee, Daniel McDermott prevented Middletown from going too far ahead.  Keady put themselves back on track with points from Paul Rice, Conor Breen and Mark Hughes and were a point ahead with a couple of minutes to go.  When Conor Breen retired through injury, Willie Monaghan came on as replacement and fired in a goal to leave Keady four ahead.  With the final whistle looming, Middletown got a goal with the last kick of the game and Keady had just done enough to deserve there win, their first of the season.
